I’m going out to a raft with a man and a woman. We climb on and there’s a little trouble pushing off. I tell the woman to grab an ore so that we can steer. Once we get out into the water, I pull out a blue flute. Another guy pulls out a flute. I go to play mine and can for about 20 seconds and then it sounds terrible. The guy looks at me and says that it might be broken. He asks if I played the sacred song “Babambalayo.” I say yes. He tells me that you can’t play the sacred song and that’s why my flute broke. He tells me that the same thing happened to him. He shows me the part that’s broken and I get it out of the flute. I’m considering how I can fix this.
